PADI Open Water Diver

Become a certified diver with the PADI Open Water Course and experience a completely new world. We at Blue Wave Divers will ensure you learn and understand the required skills needed to become a certified diver. Adequate swimming skills is required and need to be in good physical health Junior Open water divers must be 10 years old or older.

Cost for Full Course:

1. Knowledge development (E-learning online study or in a classroom) to understand the basic principles of scuba diving
2.Confined water dives to learn the basic scuba skills
3.Open water dives 1 through 4 to use the skills you have learned

PADI eLearning online classroom:

This online portion is paid to PADI and the cost for the online course varies based on your country of residence. The E-learning is the classroom portion that includes all theory, quizzes and exams on PADI's website. Students that sign up for this portion can become a certified diver in two to three days.

The cost for the diving portion of e-learning with PADI, and diving with Blue Wave Divers is $350 US dollars. It includes park fees, rental of all dive equipment, Open Water Certification Card, logbook, water and snacks.

You must submit the e-learning record that contains a passing grade for the online classroom portion for final certification.

Open Water Referral Course:

If you started the PADI Open Water Course with another dive shop and you were unable to complete it, do not worry, you can be certified! You will need to provide the referral form from the previous instructor. The form must be properly filled out and signed by the instructor. If you started the open water course with a different dive agency other than PADI; please send us an email.

Please note the price is subject to change based on what you have left to complete. Below are the standard prices for remaining dives only, not including remaining classroom activities.

• 4 dives/2 days - $250 US dollars
• 3 dives/2-3 days - $225 US dollars
• 2 dives/1 day - $175 US dollars

Full Course Schedule

Day 1:

Meet your PADI certified Instructor. Watch the PADI Open Water Diver DVD. Complete 5 Knowledge Reviews in Open Water Manual.

Day 2:

Complete confined water sessions 1-5, under direct supervision of certified PADI Instructor.

Day 3:

Complete open water dives 1 & 2, under direct supervision of certified PADI Instructor. Complete and review Quizzes 1 - 4.

Day 4:

Complete open water dives 3 & 4, under direct supervision of certified PADI Instructor. Complete and review the Final Exam.

PADI eLearning

Complete your PADI eLearning online before you arrive. Watch the PADI Open Water video and do the quizzes and final exam. All you need to do when you arrive is dive.
