padi open water diver course


This course trains you to be an Emergency First Responder in CPR, and First Aid, and fulfills the CPR prerequisite for the Rescue Diver course. this is a 4 hour class conducted in a classroom. You will learn how to administer emergency care based on the primary CPR and secondary first aid care. You will practice responding to various scenarios including performing CPR on a volunteer and manikin.

No prior experience is required. The course is designed to prepare a layman to manage an emergency scene until an Emergency Medical Service (EMS) arrives to the scene.

Course Schedule

Day 1:

Meet your PADI certified Instructor at 9:00am. View Emergency First Responder video. Practice emergency scenarios, learn CRR, providing oxygen, and administering first aid. Complete Primary CPR and Secondary First Aid final exams. Course usually runs from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
